The mission of the Governor's Office of Highway Safety is to educate the public on traffic safety and to facilitate the implementation of programs that reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities on Georgia roadways.
The 2011 Hands Across the Border was held on August 28-September 1 with law enforcement personnel from South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida. It's mission is to connect highway safety efforts across the Southeastern United States.
